Our Class material is designed to Inspire, Instruct and help Share Memories and Photos with family and friends. Our five short classes and workbook help seniors, regardless of skill level, enjoy and succeed at recalling, creating and sharing the key lessons and experiences of a lifetime.
The classes are in PowerPoint and can be used by individuals or, even more effectively, by volunteer instructors at senior centers and residences. In both cases, our companion workbook captures the lessons, exercises and notes for a student’s future reference. As memory gathering takes time, class information fades, and the workbook becomes a very important tool.
We have also distilled our class experience into an Instructor’s Guide, which will help the instructor be more effective and avoid some of the pitfalls we encountered. Even further, for situations where a senior does not have the PC or writing skills, we have provided an Interviewer’s Guide. This latter Guide includes our one-on-one experience and lessons learned from the Library of Congress’s Veteran’s History Project.
The goal of the classes - which make sharing photo memory stories fun for the senior and the reader- should help build better family communications, pass on important values and provide a greater appreciation of what has made our country great. The cost is small, but the results can priceless.
